Mango Yogurt with Homemade Mango Puree
Creamy plain yogurt swirled with a warm homemade mango puree. A quick, naturally sweet option for breakfast, snack, or a gentle dessert.
Ingredients
- 480 ml plain yogurt, full-fat2.03 cup plain yogurt, full-fat
- 480 ml mango, peeled and chopped2.03 cup mango, peeled and chopped
- 45 ml water3.04 tbsp water
- 0.65 ml ground clove0.13 tsp ground clove
- maple syrup (optional), for older eaters only
Steps
Make the Mango Puree
- Place the mango, water, and ground clove in a small saucepan and heat over medium-low for 10 to 12 minutes until soft and broken down.
- Optional: for older eaters, stir in the maple syrup, then turn off the heat and let the mango cool slightly.
- Transfer the cooked mango to a blender or use an immersion blender and puree for 1 to 2 minutes until completely smooth.
Assemble
- Spoon the cooled mango puree over the plain yogurt and gently swirl them together before serving.
