Tips by age
Serve in a small open cup with a tiny amount, or skip the maple syrup entirely since the strawberries are naturally sweet. Whole cow's milk is fine as a drink from 12 months.
Choking safety: Blend completely smooth so there are no strawberry seeds clumps or chunks in the drink.
Offer in an open cup as a snack drink. Leave out or use very little maple syrup so it does not become a sugary habit.
Serve as written in a small cup. Keep added maple syrup minimal and treat it as an occasional snack drink rather than an everyday one.
Serve as written. Let them help measure and blend, and keep portions modest since milk is filling between meals.
Serve as written, and offer with a straw if they like. Encourage water alongside so the milk drink does not replace meals.
