Baked Cinnamon Sugar Bunuelos
A baked, kid-friendly take on Mexican bunuelos. Crisp tortilla wedges dusted with cinnamon sugar for an easy sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 4 medium flour tortilla, cut into wedges
- 30 ml butter, melted2.03 tbsp butter, melted
- 45 ml granulated sugar3.04 tbsp granulated sugar
- 5 ml ground cinnamon1.01 tsp ground cinnamon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200C (400F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Stir the sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl until evenly mixed.
- Cut each tortilla into wedges, then lightly brush both sides of every wedge with the melted butter.
- Arrange the wedges in a single layer on the tray and bake for 6 to 8 minutes, until crisp and lightly golden.
- While the wedges are still warm, toss them gently in the cinnamon sugar and serve once cooled enough to touch.
