Cinnamon Apple & Spinach Puree

This Spinach Apple Baby Food Puree is perfect to introduce to your baby around 6 months of age. With the addition of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves, this combination puree tastes amazing!

Ingredients

  • 6 apple
  • spinach
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.13 tsp ginger powder
  • 0.13 tsp clove

Steps

  1. Cook: In a medium saucepan, add the apples, water, cinnamon, ginger and cloves. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 15 minutes or until apples are tender when pricked with a fork, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  2. Spinach: Add the spinach on top of the apples, cover and let sit for 1- 2 more minutes.
  3. Transfer: Add all of the ingredients into a blender or food processor.
  4. Puree: starting on low speed and working your way up, puree the ingredients for 1-2 minutes or until completely smooth and all bits of spinach or blended.
  5. Serve: Let cool and serve to baby or freeze for a later meal.
